Markus Schachner

Markus Schachner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product development and research and development (R&D) within the automotive industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Product Development and Head of R&D at Rosenbauer Group since January 2012, Markus has also held leadership roles overseeing R&D for trucks. Prior to this, Markus worked at Audi AG from September 2002 to December 2011, where responsibilities included Head of Energy Management for general vehicle development, Project Manager for electromechanical steering systems, and Engineer in chassis development. Markus obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Mechatronics from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, having completed studies there from 1994 to 2001.
