Barry Beard

Barry Beard is a Robotics and Autonomy Engineer with extensive experience in developing advanced robotics systems. They began their career at BAE Systems, where they evolved from a Graduate Research Scientist to a Higher Research Scientist, contributing significantly to projects in intelligent and autonomous systems. Currently, Barry leads the Robotics Software Engineering efforts at Beam and previously held pivotal roles at Dyson, where they contributed to the development of the Dyson 360 Eye and led a perception team. Barry holds a First Class Honours degree in Physics with Astrophysics from the University of Leeds.
