Head of Quality at Roslin Technologies

Britt Tye has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology. Britt currently holds the position of Head of Quality at Roslin Technologies, starting in November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Stem Cell Scientist at Roslin Technologies from March 2022 to November 2022.

Before joining Roslin Technologies, Britt worked at Axol Bioscience Ltd. as a Senior Quality Control Scientist from May 2021 to March 2022.

From 2016 to 2021, Britt was employed at Censo Biotechnologies. Britt initially worked as a Process Improvement Scientist/H&S/Training Officer from January 2016 to October 2019. In this role, they focused on setting up an induction training program, managing laboratory facilities, and overseeing procurement and stores. Later, they served as a Quality Control Scientist, specializing in flow cytometry optimization, qPCR, and implementation of AGH analysis, while also acting as a Health and Safety Officer from October 2019 to May 2021.

Britt's earlier experience includes working at Roslin Cells as a Project Production and Development Manager from October 2006 to January 2016. In this role, they conducted research and managed production teams involved in deriving and banking human embryonic stem cells. Britt also oversaw process development and translation differentiation projects.

Prior to joining Roslin Cells, Britt held positions as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Roslin Institute from March 2004 to February 2006 and at the University of Oxford from October 2003 to March 2004.

Britt Tye completed high school from Tromsdalen videregaende skole, earning a High School Diploma in 1995. They then pursued a Bachelor's degree (with Industrial Placement) in Biotechnology from the University of Leeds from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, Britt joined the University of Oxford in 1999 and completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD, specializing in Haematopoietc stem cells, in 2003.
