Nicolas Plonczak

Nicolas Plonczak has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Nicolas started their career as an intern at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. in 2007, where they worked on updating the crude assays for the Cardon Refinery long-term planning model. Nicolas continued working at PDVSA as a Process Engineer for the distillation units at PDVSA CRP Amuay from 2010 to 2013. In this role, they were involved in managing 6 process engineers and implementing projects to improve unit operations. Later, Nicolas joined Wintershall Holding GmbH as a Project Engineer from 2014 to 2017. Currently, they are working at Rosneft Deutschland GmbH as the Head of Bitumen, HFO, Coke and Residuals business, a role they assumed in April 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Refinery Project Manager at the same company.

Nicolas Plonczak completed their education with a Chemical Engineering degree from Universidad de los Andes (VE) in 2007. Nicolas then pursued further studies at IFP School in 2010-2011, earning a Graduate Diploma of Petroleum Studies in Refining, specializing in Chemical Engineering.
