Venkat Pedibhotla Ph.D., MBA, MSP®

Venkat Pedibhotla has an extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Venkat started their career as a Research Scientist at The Scotts Miracle-Gro LLC, where they led the technical team on insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides. Venkat also played a key role in identifying innovative technologies and driving project implementation. During their time at Scotts, they were involved in major product launches and gained experience in product development.

Following their tenure at Scotts, Venkat joined BASF Corporation. Here, they held various positions including Entomology Project Leader and Development Leader in Business Services. In these roles, they focused on R&D product development, project management, coordination with cross-functional teams, and supporting market launches. Venkat also engaged in activities related to life cycle management, data compensation, negotiation, and payment for generic chemistries.

Next, Venkat worked at Syngenta as a Project Manager in SeedCare and Syngenta Professional Solutions. Venkat managed projects related to seed treatments, insecticides, and the Good Growth Plan. Venkat also worked in India and Brazil on projects aimed at improving small holder farmers and promoting gender equality.

Most recently, Venkat served as the Assistant Director of Research Planning and Product Performance Research at the IR4 Project. In this role, they managed and directed national efforts in developing product performance data and setting research priorities for various programs. Venkat also evaluated new crop protection technologies and collaborated with EPA on chemistry registrations for growers.

Currently, Venkat is the Chief Executive Officer at Ross LifeScience, a position they assumed in 2023.

Venkat Pedibhotla Ph.D., MBA, MSP® has an extensive education history in various fields. Venkat obtained their Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln between 1992 and 1996. Prior to that, they completed their MS degree in Agriculture Chemicals at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute from 1989 to 1991. Venkat also holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Bhavan's New Science College, which they earned between 1985 and 1998.

In terms of professional certifications, Venkat Pedibhotla obtained GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) training from IR4 in November 2020. Additionally, they obtained the MSP (Managing Successful Programmes) certification from The APM Group Limited in February 2013.
