Derek Price

Derek Price is an experienced Director and Editor currently leading creative projects at Obscura Creative since February 2017, specializing in local storytelling and community connections in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Alongside this role, Derek serves as Technical Director for the Digi60 Filmmakers' Festival, overseeing technical operations and equipment management. At Ross Video, Derek is a Senior Marketing Specialist and Video Content Producer, managing the lifecycle of high-quality video content production. Previous notable projects include directing and editing the docuseries "Vs.: Women in Combat Sports" and directing various lifestyle productions for Gusto Worldwide Media. Derek also possesses a strong background in teaching video production concepts at educational institutions and has collaborated on cooking shows such as "Takin’ A Bite Ottawa." Derek holds a DEC in Social Sciences from Cégep Heritage College.
