Dimitrios Kakoulakis has a solid work experience in the field of embedded systems design and firmware development. Dimitrios started their career in 1998 as a Design Engineer at Docuport, where they worked until 2000. From 2000 to 2002, they worked as an Embedded Systems Designer at Sapphire Communications. In 2003, Dimitrios joined Honeywell Aerospace Toronto as an Aerospace FPGA Designer until 2005. Dimitrios then moved on to Grass Valley, where they worked as a Senior Embedded Firmware Designer from 2005 to 2022. Currently, Dimitrios works at Ross Video as a Senior Embedded Software Developer, a position they have held since 2022.

Dimitrios Kakoulakis completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Concordia University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended Dawson College from 1990 to 1993, during which they pursued Electronic Engineering Technologies and obtained a DEC degree.
