John Vassallo

John Vassallo has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

John started their career at NESN - New England Sports Network in 1988 as a Sr. Producer & Director, where they produced and directed Boston Red Sox baseball and Boston Bruins hockey. John was later promoted to Senior Producer and had full-time oversight, overseeing the coverage of New England College Soccer, Yankee Conference Football, Hockey East, and other college sports.

In 1997, John joined ESPN, initially as a Coordinating Producer. John coordinated, assigned, and provided feedback for crews and talent on college football games. John also produced ESPN College Basketball games, the Women’s World Cup in 1999, and various other events. In 2003, they were promoted to Senior Coordinating Producer and took on an oversight role. John managed budgets for college football and multiple NCAA championships and was responsible for developing the College Basketball Awards.
