Stacey's career in broadcasting started with an internship at Rogers TV, where they gained skills in reporting, filming, designing, and customer interaction. Stacey then worked as a promotions intern, further enhancing their skills and adding teamwork, work ethic, and initiative to their repertoire. Stacey continued their broadcasting journey at Salient Marketing as a social media associate, focusing on growing the social media portfolios of various businesses.

Stacey returned to Ross Video and took on the role of sales operations specialist, where they helped design and manage the sales process. Stacey then transitioned to an inside sales representative position, where they learned about broadcast sales and adapted to selling different solutions to different clients. Stacey's next role at Ross Video was business manager, responsible for worldwide solution sales and streamlining pre-sales activities.

In their most recent role at Ross Video, Stacey serves as the director of business operations for Sports & Live Events/LED Solutions. Stacey works closely with various teams to develop key workflows and sales enablement procedures, striving to bring Ross products and solutions to the forefront globally. Additionally, they mentor and leads the SLE and LED business teams, defining and refining sales operations processes.

Outside of their work at Ross Video, Stacey volunteered at Rogers TV as a mobile production volunteer, acquiring frontline production skills and expanding their understanding of the broadcasting industry.

Stacey Poapst's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology with a Minor in Communications from Carleton University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Advertising and Marketing Communications Management from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2010 to 2013.

Before pursuing their advanced diploma, Stacey attended Carleton University from 2008 to 2010, where they focused on Business/Commerce studies. Stacey'seducational journey began with St Mary's Highschool in Brockville, where they obtained their Ontario Highschool Diploma from 2003 to 2008.

Stacey has also obtained a number of additional certifications throughout their career. In 2013, they became certified in Emergency CPR/AED Level C and First Aid through Ottawa Paramedic Services, in collaboration with Algonquin Athletics. Stacey further pursued professional development by completing Manager Training & Development through the Canadian Management Centre in 2019.

More recently, Stacey has obtained various certifications related to product management. Stacey became a Pragmatic Certified Product Manager in June 2021 and obtained the PMC Level VII certification from Pragmatic Institute in September 2021. Furthermore, they obtained the Mental Health First Aid Basic certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada in February 2023.
