Branislav Pilňan

Branislav Pilňan's work experience includes various roles in the software development field. Branislav started working at Rotageek in 2023 as a C++ Developer. Prior to that, they worked at Robotical from 2020 to 2022 as a Software Engineer, where they developed ESP32 firmware in C++ and tools and libraries in Python. Branislav also introduced automated builds and tests using GitHub Actions and analyzed unstructured logs for statistical analysis.

From 2019 to 2020, Branislav was the Head of Software at HYPED and was responsible for overseeing software development activities. In 2019, they worked as a Software Developer at Continuum Industries, where they developed and tested evolutionary algorithms for large linear infrastructure route optimization. Branislav also proposed and implemented a framework for examining existing optimization algorithms.

Additionally, Branislav has experience in teaching support. In 2019, they worked at The University of Edinburgh as a Teaching Support, mentoring students in the System Design Project course. Branislav also advised computer science students on teamwork and project management.

Earlier in their career, from 2017 to 2018, Branislav worked at Hyp-ED as a Project Manager, leading a team of software developers for the navigation sub-system of the hyperloop pod. Branislav Pilňan completed their education with a Master of Informatics (MInf) from The University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their IB Diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science from the International Baccalaureate program, which they pursued from 2013 to 2015. Branislav's earlier education includes their attendance at Gymnázium Jura Hronca from 2011 to 2015, although specific degrees or fields of study are not provided for this period. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification in Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Thinking Machines from LinkedIn in October 2022.
