Benjamin Bengfort

Benjamin Bengfort has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Benjamin is the Founder and CEO of Rotational Labs, Inc., a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, Benjamin served as a Faculty Director at Georgetown University, where they lectured and developed curriculum for the Data Analytics certificate program. Benjamin also worked as a Research Scientist at Parallax Advanced Research in 2020. From 2018 to 2020, Benjamin was the Chief Data Scientist at PingThings, where they focused on building a PredictiveGrid data platform. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland from 2014 to 2018. Benjamin was also a Senior Software Engineer at Cortex Building Intelligence and a Faculty and Partner at District Data Labs. Furthermore, they served as a Board Member at Data Community DC and held positions as a Data Engineer at Insight Signals and as a Data Scientist at Cobrain. Throughout their career, Benjamin has been involved in data science, software engineering, and research, with a focus on analyzing and utilizing data to drive insights and innovation.

Benjamin Bengfort has a diverse educational background. Benjamin began their formal education in 2002 at the United States Naval Academy, where they pursued English studies. After completing their time at the academy in 2003, they continued their education at the University of Maryland in 2004 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Economics in 2006.

Bengfort's passion for computer science led him to enroll at North Dakota State University in 2008. Benjamin obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 2009, gaining valuable knowledge and expertise in the field.

Seeking further advancement in computer science, Bengfort joined the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2012. Although they did not complete a specific degree program at this institution, they engaged in further studies related to computer science.

Bengfort's educational journey culminated in their enrollment at the University of Maryland in 2013, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science. Immersed in rigorous research and academic pursuits, they dedicated five years to this program, graduating in 2018.
