Benjamin Bowen

Benjamin Bowen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Benjamin began their career as a Post-Doctoral Associate at Genentech in 1988. After that, they worked as a Staff Scientist I at Ciba-Geigy AG from 1990 to 1996. Benjamin then joined Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, where they held positions as a Senior Fellow from 1996 to 2001 and an Executive Director from 2002 to 2003. From 2004 to 2012, Benjamin served as a Managing Director at Rodman & Renshaw. In 2012, they became the President of Owatonna Advisors, Inc. Since 2013, Benjamin has served as a Managing Director at Northland Securities, specializing in investment banking for medical technology and biotechnology companies. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director at ROTH Capital Partners, which they joined in 2020.

Benjamin Bowen earned their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, studying from 1983 to 1988. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Hamline University, graduating in 1983.
