Matthew Day has extensive experience in investment banking and equity analysis. Matthew started their career at Lehman Brothers as an Investment Banking Associate in 2000. Matthew then worked as a Senior Associate in the Private Equity Division at Xylem Investments, Inc. from 2002 to 2004. Following that, they joined Xylem Global Partners, LLC as an Equity Analyst from 2004 to 2006. Matthew then joined Sagard Holdings as an Equity Analyst (Principal), where they focused on long-only, value-oriented, and concentrated portfolios of small-cap US and Canadian equities. Matthew worked at Sagard Holdings for thirteen years, from 2006 to 2019. Currently, Matthew is the Managing Director of Investment Banking at ROTH Capital Partners, a position they have held since 2019. In 2021, they also became the Co-Chief Operating Officer of Roth CH Acquisition IV Co. Overall, Matthew Day has built a strong foundation in investment banking and equity analysis throughout their career.
Matthew Day obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Boston College in 1995. Matthew then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2001. Prior to their university studies, Matthew attended Fairfield College Preparatory School. In 1994, they also had some involvement with The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), although the specific details are unspecified.
