Lorna Ford

Lorna Ford has extensive work experience in the public sector, particularly in corporate policy and strategy roles. Lorna served as the Deputy Chief Executive at Rother District Council from January 2022 to August 2023 and is currently working as the Chief Executive since August 2023. Prior to this, they were the Head of Corporate Policy, Economic Development, and Communications at Ashford Borough Council for over 20 years, where they held significant leadership responsibilities in areas such as communications, economic development, town centre regeneration, equalities and diversity, customer insight, transformation, project, and programme management.

Lorna Ford attended Aberystwyth University from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a degree in International Relations from the Department of International Politics. Their focus of study was in Political Science and Government.
