Paul Shew

Paul Shew serves as the Managing Director and Head of Debt Advisory and Restructuring Australia at Rothschild & Co, a position held since April 2009. In this role, Paul leads a team focused on financing, financial structuring, and restructuring across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, energy, renewables, natural resources, real estate, transport, retail, and healthcare. Expertise encompasses a wide array of debt products and financing situations, with experience on both the company and creditor sides in high-profile restructurings. Prior to Rothschild & Co, Paul held positions at UBS Investment Bank, Westpac, Macquarie Bank, and Towers Perrin, accumulating extensive knowledge in debt advisory, leveraged finance, project finance, and actuarial consulting. Academic qualifications include a BComm from the University of Melbourne and a BSc from Monash University.
