Matt Johnson

Matt Johnson is an experienced pilot with a diverse background in aviation and law enforcement. Since October 2013, Matt has served as an SPIFR Air Medical Helicopter Pilot and Check Airman at Metro Aviation, Inc., while also holding the position of Columnist at Rotor Pro. As a Designated Pilot Examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration since June 2012, Matt is authorized to conduct various helicopter flight exams across multiple aircraft models. Additionally, Matt has been a Helicopter Pilot and Deputy at the Butler County Sheriff's Office since March 2005, providing airborne law enforcement and aviation advisory services. Previous roles include Air Medical Helicopter Pilot at UC Health, EC135 Captain at Phi Air Medical Group, and Base Pilot Supervisor at Air Evac Lifeteam. Matt's early career featured a significant tenure as a Police Lieutenant at the Greenhills Police Department. Education includes ongoing studies in Aeronautics at Sinclair Community College and completion of an Aircraft Accident Investigation Course through the NTSB.
