Hanieh Shekarian

Hanieh Shekarian has extensive experience in education and program coordination, currently serving as a Project Team Member for the Student (Engineer) Journey at Delft University of Technology since October 2019, focusing on enhancing first-year student experiences and addressing dropout rates. Additionally, Hanieh coordinates the Mentorship Programme for the BSc Electrical Engineering program at the same institution. Hanieh is also an External Member of the Board of Examiners for the Institute of Communication, Media, and Information Technology at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Previous positions include Lecturer in Bioinformatics at Hogeschool Leiden and Bioinformatics Trainee roles at DSM and the Center for Neurogenomics & Cognitive Research. Hanieh holds a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics from Hogeschool Leiden.
