Richard Lugten

Richard Lugten is an experienced professional in sports management and community development, currently serving as Voorzitter of both Basketbalvereniging Rotterdam Zuid and Stichting Rise Rotterdam since March 2022. In these roles, Richard collaborates with stakeholders to enhance youth engagement and promote social growth in vulnerable groups within Rotterdam. As Project Director at Bureau Rise since September 2012, Richard leverages a robust network to improve education and welfare in urban contexts. Additional roles include Buurtsport Coach for Gemeente Nissewaard, and various positions focused on social services and community engagement. Richard holds multiple degrees in project management and sports coaching, including qualifications from HRO and the Nederlandse Basketball Bond.
