Joshua Preston has a diverse work experience in the performing arts industry. Joshua started their career as a Technical Director at C venues in 2008. Joshua then worked as the Director of Production at Luna Negra Dance Theater from 2003 to 2009. In 2010, they joined Ballet Hispánico, where they took on various roles, including Director of Production, General Manager, and ultimately Chief Operating Officer. During their time at Ballet Hispánico, they focused on operational oversight and successfully transformed the institution into a digital hybrid environment. In 2022, Joshua joined Roundtable by The 92nd Street Y as the Founding Head of Partnerships, where they played a key role in validating product hypotheses, identifying barriers of entry, and executing the go-to-market strategy. Joshua was responsible for overseeing the implementation of 32 partners in 2023. In 2024, they transitioned to the role of Head of Operations at Roundtable.
Joshua Preston completed a Continuing education program in National Arts Strategies Chief Executive at Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2019-2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography from Columbia College Chicago in 2003-2007. Before attending Columbia College Chicago, they briefly studied at the University of Kentucky in 2002-2003.
