Francisco Costa has a wealth of work experience, having held positions in a variety of industries since 2012. Francisco began their career as an Intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2012, where they wrote reports and papers on economic diplomacy, environment and sustainable development issues, science and technology, economic development, health, labour and migrations. Francisco then worked as a Legal Translator for Traductanet from 2012-2016, and as a Research Intern for Control Risks from 2016-2017. In 2017, they worked as an Independent Contractor for Oxera Consulting LLP, and as a Research Manager and Research Analyst for Trendtype from 2017-2019. Francisco then worked as an Associate Full Stack Developer for Snook from 2019-2021, and as a Software Engineer for both Fika and Unmind from 2021-2022. Francisco is currently a Full Stack Engineer for Route Reports.

Francisco Costa has a diverse educational background. Francisco started their educational journey in 2005 when they attended Escola Secundária Rainha D. Amélia, where they obtained a High School degree in Humanities and Social Sciences. In 2008, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2012, they completed a Security and Defense Specialization Course in International Relations and Affairs from Political Observatory. In 2013, they took a Refreshment Course in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics. Francisco then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in International Relations from Leiden University, which they completed in 2015. In the same year, they earned a Master's Degree in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Studies from King's College London. Most recently, in 2019, they completed a Software Engineering Bootcamp from Flatiron School. Francisco also holds two additional certifications: The Emergence of the Modern Middle East from Coursera Verified Certificates, obtained in 2014, and IELTS 8.0 from University of Cambridge, obtained in 2014.
