Dr. Dirk Panhans has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Dr. Dirk has recently worked as the CFO at Rovema GmbH since July 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Operations Director at Family Trust Investor FTI GmbH from June 2022 to June 2023. Dr. Dirk also held the role of CFO at Rieter India Pvt. Ltd. from January 2018 to June 2021. Additionally, Dr. Panhans worked as the Operations Director at Orlando Management AG from November 2016 to November 2017. Dr. Dirk has extensive experience in the field of key accounts, having served as the Director of International Key Accounts at Linde Material Handling (a KION Group company) from July 2013 to October 2016 and as the Head of Finance & Controlling at Voltas Material Handling Pvt. Ltd. (a KION Group company) from May 2011 to June 2013. Prior to that, they were involved in business development and M&A at KION Group from November 2008 to April 2011. Dr. Panhans started their corporate career as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from August 2001 to October 2008. Dr. Dirk began their professional journey as a Scholarship recipient at Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung from January 1999 to July 2001.
Dr. Dirk Panhans has a diverse educational background in the field of business and management. In 1998, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Commerce from the University of Bayreuth. Following this, from 1999 to 2001, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. In 2000, they briefly studied as a Visiting Scholar at ESCP Business School in the field of International Business.
Dr. Panhans further expanded their knowledge and expertise by undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in International Business at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, in 2001, they had the opportunity to be a Visiting Scholar at INSEAD, focusing on Operations Management.
Through their varied educational experiences across different institutions and fields of study, Dr. Dirk Panhans has acquired a comprehensive understanding of international business, operations management, and business administration.
