Matthew Sternberg

VP, Data Science & Analytics at Rover

Matthew Sternberg is currently the VP of Data Science & Analytics at Rover. Prior to that, they were the Director of Data Science and Analytics at Porch from September 2015 to August 2018. Matthew has also worked as a Research Associate at the University of Washington from August 2013 to August 2015, and as a PhD Candidate at the University of Chicago from September 2007 to August 2013.

Sternberg's work experience is quite varied, but they seem to excel in data-related fields. Matthew's experience with beta-decay experiments and precision laser spectroscopy is quite unique, and their work on target design and development of liquid lithium target is impressive. Matthew is also skilled in developing novel search algorithms, and has supervised and mentored students working on hardware and software research projects.

Given their diverse range of skills and experience, it is no surprise that Sternberg has been so successful in their career. Matthew is clearly a talented individual with a bright future ahead of him.

Matthew Sternberg pursued a PhD in Nuclear & Particle Physics from the University of Chicago. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Oregon.

They are on a team with Phil Katz - Chief of Staff, Melissa Weiland - General Counsel, and Jovana Teodorovic - VP, People & Culture. Matthew Sternberg reports to Aaron Easterly, CEO.
