Tatu Petersen-Jessen

Senior Art Director at Rovio

Tatu Petersen-Jessen has accumulated extensive experience in the art and gaming industry. Tatu is currently working at Rovio Entertainment Corporation as a Senior Art Director since 2021. Prior to this, they held the positions of Art Director, Global Studios from 2017 to 2021, and Art Director from 2015 to 2017 at the same company.

Before joining Rovio, Tatu served as the Chairman of the Board at Varako in 2014. Additionally, they co-founded Healthgamer in 2013 and held the role of CCO until 2018. At Healthgamer, they were involved in decision-making, product design, and production planning, and was responsible for steering the company's creative direction.

Tatu also worked as the Art Team Manager at Remedy Entertainment from 2013 to 2015, where they supervised and managed the art team and handled outsourcing efforts. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as an Art Manager at Digital Chocolate, where they supervised and managed a team of creative individuals and led content development on a social games track.

Tatu's earlier experience includes roles as an External Lead Artist and Lead Artist at Digital Chocolate, a Game Graphic Designer at RealNetworks and Mr.Goodliving, and a Graphic Designer at Puolustusvoimat - Försvarsmakten - Finnish Defence Forces, Finnish Parliament, and Sunpoint Portal Services.

Throughout their career, Tatu has demonstrated their expertise in art direction, team management, content development, and creative direction.

Tatu Petersen-Jessen attended Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development in 2016. From 2004 to 2007, they studied 3D visualization and animation at the EVTEK Institute of Art and Design. Prior to this, between 1999 and 2002, Tatu studied art at the Helsinki senior secondary school for visual arts.
