Yumi Oishi has a diverse and extensive work experience. Yumi started their career as an HR Intern at Nokia in 2006. After that, they joined Google in 2007 and held various roles, including University Programs Coordinator, HR Specialist, University Programs Specialist, and Industry Programs Specialist. During their time at Google, they developed and executed campus outreach strategies, designed and managed people processes, and crafted staffing and employer branding strategies. Yumi joined Rovio Entertainment Corporation in 2018, where they initially worked as a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager and later became the Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. In this role, they built an in-house Talent Acquisition team, led a company-wide culture project, and focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Yumi Oishi has a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Waseda University. Yumi also participated in the Education Abroad Program at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, they attended HR Management Courses at Temple University Japan. Yumi has obtained a certification in Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers from LinkedIn in 2020.
