Amber Roskos, DPT, is a seasoned physical therapist with a robust background in rehabilitation services. Since July 2015, Amber has served as the Admissions Coordinator for Acute Rehab and a Physical Therapist at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. Additionally, Amber has been a Physical Therapist at Good Shepherd Penn Partners since April 2019 and has maintained a position at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals since November 2013, previously completing a Physical Therapy Externship there from 2010 to 2013. At Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, instructors blendnursing theory and academics with a hands-on clinical component toprovide their students with a thorough understanding of both the practiceof nursing and the history behind it. Graduates will be prepared to beginexciting and rewarding careers as entry-level nurses.The schooloffers a 21-month program. Students will attend classes fivedays a week, as well as clinicals, which generally run from 7:00 am to3:00 twice a week.The school’s admissions requirements consider each applicant on anindividual basis; however, certain criteria apply as well. A college GPAof at least 2.5 is preferred, and the applicant must supply twosatisfactory recommendations. Students must have Child Abuse and Stateand Federal Criminal Record Clearance, as well as Drug Testing Clearance.To apply, students should submit an application and fee, as well as highschool or GED and college transcripts. A pre-nursing test may also berequired, or an interview requested. Check with the school for additionaladmissions requirements.For those struggling to meet tuition costs, financial aid is available.Students can complete a FAFSA to check their eligibility for Pell grantsand federal loan programs. The school also participates in thePennsylvania State Grant Program, and during the admissions interviewstudents will be supplied with information on applying for scholarships.Student life is never dull. Roxborough is a small community with afriendly atmosphere, and with downtown Philadelphia nearby there are alsoplenty of shops, entertainment and dining options.
