Demetra Bookard, LPN, is an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse with a diverse background in healthcare and administration. Since September 2020, Demetra has contributed to Suburban Community Hospital and Roxborough Memorial Hospital while maintaining a role at PrimeCare Medical, Inc. since 2018. Additional nursing responsibilities include positions at Willow Terrace and The Meadows at Shannondell, both held since late 2017. Demetra began in healthcare as a Certified Medical Assistant at Project HOME's Stephen Klein Wellness Center in 2016. Previous experience includes serving as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and a Program Administrator for the Urban Affairs Coalition. An educational foundation includes a Practical Nursing Diploma from Prism Career Institute-Philadelphia and an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Community College of Philadelphia. Currently, Demetra is pursuing an Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing at Bucks County Community College.

At Roxborough Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, instructors blendnursing theory and academics with a hands-on clinical component toprovide their students with a thorough understanding of both the practiceof nursing and the history behind it. Graduates will be prepared to beginexciting and rewarding careers as entry-level nurses.The schooloffers a 21-month program. Students will attend classes fivedays a week, as well as clinicals, which generally run from 7:00 am to3:00 twice a week.The school’s admissions requirements consider each applicant on anindividual basis; however, certain criteria apply as well. A college GPAof at least 2.5 is preferred, and the applicant must supply twosatisfactory recommendations. Students must have Child Abuse and Stateand Federal Criminal Record Clearance, as well as Drug Testing Clearance.To apply, students should submit an application and fee, as well as highschool or GED and college transcripts. A pre-nursing test may also berequired, or an interview requested.
