James Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James started their career in 1975 as a Manager of Safety & Risk Management at KKW Trucking, Inc. In 1980, they joined Transtechnology Corporation, Space Ordnance Systems as the Director of Safety, Security, and Facilities. James was responsible for various aspects including process safety, industrial health and hygiene, hazardous materials management, and emergency response management. From 1986 to 2000, James worked at Litton Systems, Inc. as the Director of Facilities, Safety Health, Security & Environmental Affairs. James held various roles and responsibilities in these areas. In 2002, they joined Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc. as the National Manager of Services Solutions, Strategic Planning, and Analytics. Eventually, they became the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Operational Excellence. With an extensive background in safety, security, facilities, and strategic planning, James Smith has a proven track record in driving operational excellence.

James Smith attended Los Angeles Valley College from 1973 to 1974, where they received an Associate of Arts degree in Business. From 1974 to 1976, they attended California State University, Northridge, studying Financial Information Systems. In 1980, they attended Pepperdine University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. Finally, from 1986 to 1987, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Management Science at California State University, Northridge.
