Bassem Hamed

Bassem Hamed is an accomplished expert in Smart City development and digital transformation, currently serving as the Acting Head of the Smart City Department at Rua Al Madinah Holding since November 2024. With a robust history in urban transformation, Hamed has held senior positions at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, where significant contributions were made to sustainable living initiatives, and at Khatib & Alami, spearheading Smart City and digital service innovations across the MEA region. Previous roles at Al Fayhaa Construction and Schneider Electric included leading business growth in energy and smart services, strategic account management in key sectors, and directing various technology projects. Hamed holds an Electrical & Communications Engineering degree from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and has extensive experience managing large-scale projects in smart technologies and infrastructure.
