Omar AL Hafi started their work experience in 2020 as a Mechanical Project Engineer at Khatib & Alami, where they worked on a Ministry of Housing project, overseeing the infrastructure and pipeline work. Omar supervised contracted staff, ensured project packages met specifications, and checked technical designs and drawings for accuracy.
In 2021, they joined Gulf Consolidated Contractors Co as a Project Engineer, responsible for Mechanical, civil, and electrical tasks on the Onshore Maintain Potential Projects (OMPP). Omar oversaw day-to-day construction activities to ensure the project met specifications.
Later in 2021, Omar joined Aramco as a Project Engineer, specifically working in the NGL Recovery & Fractionation Tanajib Gas Plant Projects Department. Their responsibilities included managing project activities, coordinating and monitoring progress, resolving issues, reviewing contractor's invoices, and preparing progress reports.
In 2023, Omar will be starting work as a Project Engineer at RUA Al Madinah Holding, where they will contribute their expertise to various projects.
Omar AL Hafi completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Northern Illinois University from 2016 to 2019. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including "Become a Project Manager" from LinkedIn in October 2021. Omar also completed various project management foundations courses from the Project Management Institute in October 2021, covering topics such as budgets, communication, ethics, requirements, risk, schedules, and teams. Omar also holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, OSHA 30-Hour Outreach for General Industry, and English for Academic Purposes from ELS Educational Services, Inc. Omar obtained their Mechanical Engineer certification from the Saudi Council of Engineers in November 2020 and a Cognitive Ability Test score of 91 from Qiyas | National Center for Assessment in March 2021.
