Meaghan Patterson is an experienced executive leader currently serving as the Executive Director of the Royal Alberta Museum since September 2021. Prior to this role, Meaghan held the position of Executive Director/CEO at the Alberta Museums Association from April 2009 to September 2021, overseeing strategic planning and resource management while fostering partnerships with stakeholders. Meaghan's extensive experience also includes positions such as Acting Executive Director/CEO and Operations Lead within the Alberta Museums Association, and a Research Assistant role at the City Region Studies Centre, University of Alberta. Meaghan holds multiple degrees, including an MA in Russian History from the University of Alberta and a BA Combined Honours in History and Russian Studies from Dalhousie University, complemented by leadership training from the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and MacEwan University.
