Richard Piekar

Richard Piekar has extensive work experience in procurement and management roles. Richard is currently the Director of Procurement at Royal BAM Group nv, where they are responsible for managing and developing the procurement organization within BAM Nederland. Prior to this, they worked as the Procurement Director at BAM Infra Nederland, where they oversaw the expertise of four business units and managed a team of 4500 employees. Richard also served as the Procurement Director at CRH Europe Distribution, where their main goal was to achieve procurement excellence across different European countries. Richard has a strong background in procurement and has held various managerial positions throughout their career.

Richard Piekar completed their education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1991 to 1994, earning a Drs. degree in Culture, Organization and Management. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1991, they studied Technical Business Administration at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, obtaining an ing degree.
