Leigh Chalmers

Leigh Chalmers, CPA, CA, currently serves as SVP & CFO of Wealth and Insurance at RBC since September 2023. With extensive experience in the financial sector, Chalmers was previously SVP Head of Corporate Finance & Capital Management at Sun Life, where roles included SVP Head of Investor Relations and Capital Management, as well as SVP and Chief Auditor until September 2023. Chalmers has also contributed to the academic realm as an Advisory Board Member at Smith School of Business at Queen's University since January 2017. Prior to these roles, Chalmers spent over two decades at PwC Canada, culminating in the role of Chief Inclusion Officer while also serving as Assurance Partner, focusing on the financial services industry and leading national IFRS initiatives. Chalmers holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Queen's University, earned between 1991 and 1995.
