Roberta L. Jamieson

Roberta Jamieson is a corporate director. She was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Indspire (a Canadian Indigenous charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people) from 2004 to 2020. Prior to that, she was elected Chief of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory from 2001 to 2004. She served as the Ombudsman of Ontario from 1989 to 1999 and as Commissioner of the Indian Commission of Ontario between 1986 and 1989.

Ms. Jamieson is co-chair of the Indigenous advisory council of the Canadian National Railway Company and a member of the board of directors of Deloitte Canada.

Ms. Jamieson holds a Bachelor of Laws from Western University. She is the first First Nations woman having earned a law degree in Canada, and she was awarded the Indigenous Peoples’ Counsel designation by the Indigenous Bar Association. She is an officer of the Order of Canada.
