David Gardner

Council Member at ROYAL BOROUGH OF GREENWICH

David Gardner is a British politician who has been a Council Member at the Royal Borough of Greenwich since May 2006. David previously served as a Councillor for the London Borough of Greenwich from May 2002 to May 2006, and as Cabinet Member for Modernisation from 2003 to 2005. David also chaired the Best Value review of "enabling young people to achieve and succeed" in 2002/3 and the Social Inclusion Scrutiny Panel in 2005/6. From January 2000 to December 2002, they worked as a Principal Consultant at KPMG Consulting, where they co-ordinated KPMG's e-government solutions and work. From January 1999 to December 2015, they were Director of Public Policy at KPMG, responsible for co-ordinating KPMG's public policy engagement and development to support the firm's reputation, values and business. David also served as co-chair of the Capital Markets Working Group at the TransAtlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) from January 2004 to October 2011, and as Director of the Public Policy Unit at the Labour Party from December 1995 to January 1997.

David Gardner went to Stopsley High School before completing their A levels in Economics, David'story, and Government at Luton Sixth Form College. David then attended The University of Manchester, where they earned their BA (Econ) Hons in Economics and Government. Afterward, they pursued their MBA at the University of the West of England, focusing on the Management of Change and Strategic Management.
