Lorraine Lecourtois

Lorraine Lecourtois is an experienced leader in public programming and visitor engagement, currently serving as the Interim Director of Wakehurst at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, since November 2023. Prior to this role, Lorraine held the position of Head of Public Programmes at Wakehurst from 2017 to 2023, where strategic programming and community engagement were prioritized. Lorraine's career includes significant management roles, such as General Manager at Betteshanger Country Park and Visitor Experience Manager at the Southbank Centre, alongside impactful contributions to Brockholes Nature Reserve as Events and Communications Manager. Furthermore, Lorraine is a Board Trustee for Upstart Theatre, which seeks to foster dialogue on societal challenges through the arts. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Drama/Theatre Arts and Stagecraft from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
