Paul Figg

Paul Figg is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in science communication and biology. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Officer (Science) at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew since October 2021, Paul's previous roles include Communications Officer for the Digitisation Project and Science Communications Coordinator within the same organization. Prior to that, Paul founded Life in Layman's, a science communication platform aimed at engaging audiences with innovative topics from the science realm. Additional experience includes working as a Digital Content Manager, Science Writer/Editor, and Microbiologist at Campden BRI, along with serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Palermo, focusing on antibiotic resistance research. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Portsmouth, earned in 2016.
