Poonam Thapa McIpr

Poonam Thapa MCIPR, CIIC is an accomplished communication professional with extensive experience in internal communications and engagement across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Internal Communication and Engagement at the Royal College of General Practitioners since September 2017, Poonam has successfully implemented a comprehensive internal communications program for over 300 staff, ensuring clear information flow and inclusivity in decision-making processes. Previously, Poonam held roles such as Internal Communication and Engagement Manager at Catalyst Housing Limited, Interim Corporate Communication Manager at Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation, and Internal Communication Manager at the Nursing and Midwifery Council, where Poonam established and led internal communication functions. Education includes a Diploma in Internal Communications from CIPR and a BA in English Literature and Geography from DAV Post Graduate College.
