Ioannis Gerogiannis

Ioannis Gerogiannis is a Consultant General, UGI & Bariatric Surgeon at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since September 2017 and serves as the Clinical Lead for General Surgery. In addition to this role, Ioannis holds positions as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Surgery at St George's, University of London and as a College Tutor for The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Ioannis has also been an Honorary Consultant General Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Bariatric and Oesophagogastric Surgery, Senior Clinical Fellow in Upper GI Surgery, and a Senior Registrar in General Surgery. Academically, Ioannis is pursuing a PGCert in Educational Psychology at Arden University and has completed advanced studies in Medical Education, culminating in a PhD in General Surgery from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Educational background includes an MD from the Medical School University of Crete.
