Michael Douek

Michael Douek serves as the Rosetrees Royal College of Surgeons Director of the Surgical Interventional Trials Unit (SITU) and is a Professor of Surgical Sciences and Breast Cancer at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, University of Oxford since March 2019. With a broad range of experience, Michael Douek has held the title of Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England since 2015, where contributions include developing novel magnetic techniques for sentinel node biopsy and lesion localization. Michael Douek has been a consultant surgeon at the Private Rooms, Harley Street Breast Clinic and NHS since 2010 and 2003, respectively, while also serving as a Visiting Professor of Surgical Oncology at King's College London since 2009. Michael Douek has an extensive academic background with past roles at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, University College London, and University College Hospital. Michael Douek's educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Breast Surgery from the University of London and an MBChB in Medicine from the University of Dundee.
