Owase Jeelani

Owase Jeelani is a highly experienced academic and consultant in paediatric neurosurgery, currently serving as a Professor of Paediatric Neurosurgery and Honorary Associate Professor at UCL since October 2012. Jeelani also holds the position of Hunterian Professor at The Royal College of Surgeons of England and works as a Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon and Craniofacial Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, where responsibilities include leading the Department of Neurosurgery. With a specialization in complex surgical procedures such as Craniopagus separation and neuro-oncology, Jeelani's expertise extends to co-founding Klay Biotech and founding Gemini Untwined, as well as directing the London Craniofacial Unit. Jeelani's educational background includes an MBA from INSEAD and multiple degrees in medicine and surgery, culminating in extensive training in paediatric neurosurgery in Canada.
