Damian Kearney

Damian Kearney serves as a Lay Member on the Independent Decision-Making Body of the Bar Standards Board since April 2024. Kearney has extensive experience as an Independent Member of the Parole Board for England and Wales, Lay Member for both the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Administration Limited and ICAEW Regulation and Conduct, and an Independent Investigator & Safeguarding Consultant at DK Independent Ltd. Additional roles include Consultant Investigator for the House of Commons, member of the Preliminary Investigation Committee for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, Specialist Arbitrator on the National Safeguarding Panel for Sport at Sport Resolutions, Non-Executive Board Member for the Age Check Certification Scheme, and Lay Member at ACCA, where involvement spans several regulatory committees. Kearney holds a PgCert in Terrorism Studies from the University of St Andrews, obtained in 2011.
