Simon van Oosten started their career at Royal Delft in 1977 as a meesterschilder/ontwerper. Over the years, Simon held various roles within the company, including afdelingsmanager schilders, ontwerper, and masterpainter. In 2008, Simon moved to Royal Delft (Porceleyne fles) as afdelingsmanager schilders/ontwerper/masterpainter until 2016 when Simon joined Heinen Delfts Blauw as an ontwerper/afdelingsmanager decoratieschilders. Since August 2022, Simon has returned to Royal Delft as an Ontwerper. Simon van Oosten also completed their education at the academy voor beeldende kunsten in den Haag from 1979 to 1984.
