Mitch Andrus

Mitch Andrus has over 22 years of civil and coastal engineering experience. Mitch is currently the Executive Vice President at Royal Engineers & Consultants, L.L.C., where they specialize in managing complex coastal projects. Mitch has expertise in scientific research, field investigations, project design and management, permit coordination, feasibility studies, and technical writing. Prior to their current role, Mitch worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Coastal Engineering Consultants, Inc. from 2005 to 2008. Mitch also served as a Project Engineer at the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources - Coastal Engineering Division from 2000 to 2005. Mitch began their engineering career as an Engineer Intern at MWH, now part of Stantec, from 1998 to 2000. Mitch also worked as a Field Assistant at Headwaters Ecology in 1996.

Mitch Andrus has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Geology and Geophysics from the LSU Department of Geology & Geophysics, which was obtained by the year 2020. Prior to that, Mitch Andrus completed a Master's Degree in Oceanography and Coastal Sciences and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, both from Louisiana State University. Mitch Andrus also holds a certification as a Professional Engineer from the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS), although the specific date of obtaining this certification is unknown.
