Birgit Otto

Birgit Otto is a Member at Royal FloraHolland, and has previously worked for companies including FBO, Airports Council International (Europe), Eindhoven Airport NV, NGinfra, and Schiphol Group. Birgit has been in their current role since August 2017.

Birgit began their career in 1989 as Managing Director at Royal Nedlloyd group. Birgit stayed with the company for 12 years before moving to Schiphol Group in 2001, where they took on the role of Executive Vice President & COO.

During their time at Schiphol Group, Birgit was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. In this role, they oversaw a team of 1,500 employees and managed a budget of €2 billion.

In 2016, Birgit left Schiphol Group to join NGinfra as a Board Member. Birgit held this position until June 2022, when they became a Member at Royal FloraHolland.

Birgit Otto holds a drs in Bedrijfskunde/Economics from the University of Groningen and a Propaedeuse in Milieuhygiëne from Wageningen University & Research.
