Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman is a PhD Candidate at the Department of Sociology, Lancaster University, since October 2021. Concurrently, Mohammad serves as a part-time Research Assistant in the Department of History and as the Membership Officer for the Food Geographies Research Group at the Royal Geographical Society. Since June 2021, Mohammad has acted as an Expert Reviewer for the Global Development Network. An Independent Consultant at the Center for People & Environment and co-founder/editor of Green Magazine since April 2012, Mohammad also held the title of Engagement Fellow in Lancaster's Work in Progress programme. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Fellow and Working Group Lead at the Natural Hazards Center and as Country Coordinator for the UN Climate Change Conference of Youth. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Sociology from Lancaster University and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science from Jahangirnagar University.
