Phil Platts

Phil Platts is a seasoned professional in geospatial and earth observation, currently serving as Vice President and Director at BeZero Carbon since November 2021, where responsibilities include leading geospatial initiatives. Concurrently, Phil holds the position of Honorary Fellow and Senior Researcher at the University of York since July 2012, contributing to academic research. Additionally, Phil is a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission's Climate Change Specialist Group and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. Previous consultancy roles were completed at UNEP-WCMC, alongside a research associate position at the University of Cambridge. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Science from the University of York.
