Kain Petterson, P.Eng, CFA, MBA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the mining industry. Kain began their career at Taseko: Gibraltar Mine in 2010 as a Rotational Drill and Blast Engineer. Kain then progressed within the company, taking on roles such as Dispatch Engineer, Projects Engineer, Drill and Blast Engineer, Short Range Planning Engineer, and Long Range Planning Engineer.
In 2012, Petterson joined Detour Gold Corporation as a Mine Engineer and later served as a Mine Operations Supervisor. Kain also took on the responsibilities of Mine Planning Superintendent / Technical Services Manager (Acting) before transitioning to the role of Senior Mining Engineer.
Since 2017, Petterson has been associated with Royal Gold Inc., where they have made significant contributions. Kain started as a Senior Operations Engineer and subsequently took on the role of Manager, Business Development and Metal Sales.
