Basja Jantowski has diverse work experience in various organizations. Currently serving as the Global Lead Water Strategy for Industry at Royal HaskoningDHV, they are responsible for business development and providing consultancy services on corporate water stewardship and climate resilience in Europe and Asia. Prior to this, they held roles as a Director and Country Representative at the Alliance for Water Stewardship - Indonesia, where they led the establishment and management of AWS Indonesia, promoting good water stewardship in the country. They also worked as a Consultant at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, focusing on scoping and strategy development for a Public-Private Partnership on Food Loss and Waste in Indonesia. In addition, Basja has held various roles at Aidenvironment, including Senior Consultant, Unit Manager, and Program Manager, where they worked on sustainable landscape management, palm oil supply chains, and rainwater harvesting projects. Earlier in their career, Basja worked as an Advisor for Hydrology at Waterschap Limburg, where they conducted hydrological and soil-water modeling for spatial planning projects.
Basja Jantowski received a Master of Science degree in Physical Geography from Utrecht University, graduating in 2004. Basja also obtained the GIZ Capacity WORKS certification from MDF Training & Consultancy in 2010, as well as the Specialist Training Alliance for Water Stewardship certification from the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) in June 2017.
