Helen Paterson

Helen Paterson is an experienced Advanced Speech and Language Therapist at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability since January 2012, specializing in assistive technology services and providing high-technology AAC solutions for adults with complex physical and communication challenges. Helen has held leadership roles such as Chair of AAC London CEN from July 2015 to November 2018, and has served in various positions including Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust and Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Augmentative and Alternative Communication from The Manchester Metropolitan University, an MSc in Assistive Technology from Coventry University, a BSc in Speech and Language Therapy from Birmingham City University, and a BSc in Nursing Studies from The University of Edinburgh.
