Sameer Shahrour

With more than 25 years of experience in investment, corporate finance, portfolio management and banking with reputable financial institutions in Jordan and GCC, Mr. Shahrour currently serves as Project Finance and Tourism Portfolio Director at Social Security Investment Fund - Jordan (SSIF), which he represents on the Royal Jordanian Board of Directors since June,2022.

Before joining SSIF, Mr. Shahrour worked with multibillion international groups in the GCC where he served as Investment Manager during the period (2007 - 2017). He was responsible for the development of asset allocation strategies, managing the full cycle and all aspects of direct investment and acquisition and identifying potential future star companies to provide the groups with the targeted growth, sector diversification and the expected ROI.

Prior to that, Mr. Shahrour started his career working with prominent Banks in Jordan, starting with Arab Bank then JIF Bank during the period (1994-2005) as Credit officer then Head of Credit Review Manager. During the period (2005-2007), he served as Section Head of Corporate Valuation at the Project Finance Department at SSIF that he joined in 2018 as Project Finance and Tourism Portfolio Director

Mr. Shahrour holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance from University of Western Sydney- Australia. He also holds professional certificates; CLBB (Certified Lender Business Banker) and CRP (Certified Risk Professional) from American Bankers Association.
